Background
He originated the idea when he first dreamt of a rooftop-hunting app while living in NYC in 2014. Rediscovering the heights of Rio brought the idea back to life. A Belgian citizen, he has worked in South Africa, the Netherlands, Germany, the US, and Italy where he earned his Ph.D. Hiking, biking, music, and quality time with friends are his passions.
As the Project Manager, Virginia is the Scrum Master at Grooftop. She coordinates daily team efforts (operations lead), tracks the advancements of the project according to the business plan, monitors the project’s milestones, and is also the spokesperson towards external partners.

With a background in aviation safety and coordination, arts and conference interpretation, she blends structure and creativity to build tools that unlock urban potential. Virginia holds an MBA and is passionate about visual arts and singing.
As the Back-end Developer & Tech Lead, Wlad designs the technical framework, builds and maintains the backend, and integrates external APIs to ensure a robust, scalable system.

As the Full Stack Developer, Layr codes eveything from the mobile to the back-end and the websites. Also is responsible for deploying and maintaining our applications running smoothly on the cloud.

Born and raised in Rio, he's driven by a passion for building innovative solutions that bridge tech, nature, and society. As the Designer, Gabriel leads the full user experience design, including both UX and UI; He is also responsible for the app’s visual identity, branding, and digital marketing. As the Financial Manager and business developer, Benjamin tracks the operational costs, develops financial projections, crafts growth strategies, and prepares materials for investor discussions. He also takes care of the daily accounting.
